Reading Beer&Cider Festival!(Drunk Drunk) 醉了啤酒節

I went to Reading Beer & Cider Festival yesterday. Thanks to my lovely friend Pei who invited me to go with her!! This year was the 5th year of this drunken event!!! Woo!!! Here is the link: Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2012

As it says on the website, there were over 500 real ales and 200 ciders and perries. There were 2 big tents and a big outdoor area containing different food stands and performers.

 Every beer stand was so busy !!!

The glass cost £3 to hire but it is refundable. I kept mine though, as a souvenir! 

There are lines on the glass to mark a pint or 1/2 pint but according to my friend Eric, who has attend the event since 2008, his glass even has a 1/3 pint line! Lucky him!!!

Of course Editor Edwards was really serious about it and recorded every pint he tried! Nerd! Sorry, I mean, beer enthusiast! 

In the first tent, there were different stands other than just beer. Some were selling special printed T-shirt, chocolates, pewter tankards, etc. and there was a section for pub games.

Then it was time to move to the 2nd tent!! Wooohoooo!!!

Again, there were loads of beers. But the 2nd tent also had cider and perry.  Personally, I'm a cider fan, although I tried some perry as well! My favourite was a really good one called Woughton Orchard from Buckinghamshire! You can really smell the fruit!!!

Also, in the second tent, there were a stage where people were performing music! This singer sang an impromptu song about this guy who was wearing a box on his head..... Boxy Head Man!

In the outdoor area, there were Morris Dancers, delicious food stalls free face & body painting....

I'd had 4 1/2 pint of cider after by the end of the day! Look how proud I was!! 

If you are a beer enthusiast or a cider lover, do try and go next year. You won't regret it!!

P.S. I also went to see the wonderful Chairlift play last week in London, it was so nice and her voice is really beautiful!

And there was even a pinata during the song!

There is still one day of holiday left due to the bank holiday in the UK, I hope everyone still has some fun to enjoy tomorrow!!
